Holy smokes! The unthinkable is happening. Wasilla is cutting its sales tax as of July by one-half a percent - a year early - dropping the surviving tax to 2 percent.

OK, it does not seem like much, but a city cutting its sales tax is as rare as a Democrat with his hand in his own pocket.
