English majors are letting the country down

The Republican Party needs more English majors. Its leaders lose big battles time after time because they don’t understand the power of the buzzword. The secret to winning political wars these days is — by hook or by crook — to seize and hold the linguistic high ground.

Take, for instance, “health care reform for all Americans,” the slogan adopted by President Barack Obama for sweeping changes in the nation’s health care insurance system.
