The special session called by Gov. Sean Parnell, in part to deal with oil tax 
reform and an in-state natural gas pipeline, rolled over and gave up the ghost 
last night on its 13th day, without legislative action on either.
There 
will be those sillies quick to say the House and Senate comprised a “do-nothing” 
Legislature because they failed to deal with some of Alaska’s toughest issues - 
issues threatening Alaska’s fiscal future, but that would be far from the 
truth.
