Southcentral Alaska is facing a serious natural gas shortage and if the problem is not resolved, home owners and businesses could face power brownouts and blackouts beginning this winter.
“The energy system came close to failure the last two of three years,” Mayor Dan Sullivan told a meeting of the Anchorage Energy Task Force.
