Revenue commissioner needs to go beyond talking points to defend oil tax cut plan

Alaska Revenue Commissioner Bryan Butcher and Revenue Deputy Commissioner Bruce Tangeman know the talking points about the governor's desire to cut oil taxes by billions of dollars.

At current prices, the tax cut would be $1.7 billion per year. That is $300 million higher than the fiscal note, which says the tax cut would be from $1.1 billion to $1.4 billion in fiscal year 2013.
