Mark Begich’s Chief Financial Officer warned him in a memo of a potential 30 to 100-milion dollar deficit this year just two weeks before the Assembly was asked to approve two very expense long-term union contracts we clearly cannot afford. It turns out the deficit was 30 plus million dollars. Something The Socialist Six voting in favor of the contracts claim not to have known at the time of the vote. The five conservative Assembly members rejected the contracts.
