FAIRBANKS — Most of the six candidates for borough mayor, but not all, cite high energy costs as Fairbanks’ most pressing challenge. Some want tickets issued for land-use violations, others don’t.

Election forums attended by the six candidates — Hank Bartos, Charlie Boddie, Luke Hopkins, Garry Hutchison, Bill Stodden and Tammie Wilson — have offered voters a glimpse at how each might act as mayor.
